W Ayon may call the Southwestern deserts of New Mexico home but his soul is deeply rooted in the Blues and grooves of the Mississippi Hill Country. With a rather simple kick/snare and tambourine setup he lays down solid beats while picking out some catchy hooks on anything from acoustic to resonator guitars. I love creating and sharing the music that inspires me. I've been playing live since about 2007 and have played probably a few thousand shows over that time frame. I've recorded 5 albums with the most recent release "Bourbon On The Rocks" in December 2020 as well as the single "Entertain The Mass" released earlier in the year. I like to think that perseverance and a never-stop attitude is a great way to "make it" in todays music world where making it can mean so many different things.
